Become an Egg Donor

Welcome to Family Origins Egg Donation

Egg donation is an extraordinary gift that can help intended parents fulfill their dream of building a family. At Family Origins Egg Donation, we believe donors deserve to feel informed, respected, appreciated, and genuinely supported throughout the process.

Whether you are just beginning to explore egg donation or already know you’d like to move forward, our team is here to guide you through each stage with clear communication and compassionate support.

Why Women Choose to Become Egg Donors

Every donor has her own reasons for pursuing egg donation.

Many women are drawn to the opportunity to help intended parents who are unable to conceive using their own eggs. Others appreciate the chance to learn more about their fertility health, receive meaningful compensation, or be part of something deeply impactful and life-changing.

For many donors, it becomes one of the most rewarding experiences of their lives.

Who Egg Donation Helps

Egg donation can help intended parents facing many different circumstances, including:

  • Infertility
  • Premature menopause
  • Diminished ovarian reserve
  • Genetic concerns
  • Recurrent IVF loss
  • LGBTQIA+ family building
  • Single parenthood by choice

As an egg donor, you play an important role in helping others move one step closer to creating their family.

Egg Donor Compensation & Benefits

Egg donors receive compensation for the significant time, energy, commitment, and flexibility involved in the donation process.

Typical Compensation

  • First-time donors typically receive compensation starting around $9,000 – $13,000+
  • Compensation often increases with each additional cycle
  • All egg donation-related medical expenses are fully covered by intended parents

Additional benefits may include:

  • Comprehensive fertility and reproductive health screening
  • Genetic carrier screening
  • Insight into your ovarian reserve and fertility health
  • Professional donor profile support
  • Personalized guidance throughout the process

What the Egg Donation Process Looks Like

While every journey is unique, the egg donation process typically includes the following steps:

-Application & Initial Review

You’ll complete a donor application and introductory screening so we can learn more about you and determine whether you meet basic program qualifications.

-Donor Profile Creation

If approved, you’ll create a detailed donor profile that intended parents can review during the matching process.

-Matching With Intended Parents

Once intended parents select your profile and a match is confirmed, the next phase of screening and coordination begins.

-Medical & Psychological Screening

You’ll complete additional evaluations through the fertility clinic, which may include:

  • Bloodwork
  • Genetic testing
  • Ultrasound evaluation
  • Psychological screening
  • Infectious disease screening

-Legal Agreements

Independent attorneys prepare and review legal agreements before the cycle begins.

-Egg Donation Cycle

You’ll take fertility medications for approximately 10–14 days while attending brief monitoring appointments at the fertility clinic.

-Egg Retrieval

The egg retrieval is a short outpatient procedure performed under light sedation. Most donors return to normal daily activities within a day or two.

Support Throughout the Journey

We understand that egg donation can feel exciting, emotional, and sometimes overwhelming. Our role is to help ensure you feel informed and supported throughout every phase of the process.

We remain available to answer questions, coordinate details, and help you feel comfortable moving forward each step of the way.

Egg Donor Requirements

General qualifications for egg donors typically include:

  • Between 21–30 years old
  • Healthy BMI
  • Non-smoker
  • No history of drug abuse
  • At least a high school education or equivalent
  • Willingness to complete medical and psychological screening
  • Reliable and responsive communication

Final approval is determined by the fertility clinic.

A Thoughtful, Respectful Experience

At Family Origins Egg Donation, we believe egg donors deserve the same level of care and respect as intended parents. We strive to create an experience that feels organized, supportive, transparent, and deeply appreciative of the role donors play in helping create families.
